Prof. Faustin Kamuzora officially opens the Sokoine Memorial Week 2017

The first day of Sokoine Memorial Week to commemorate 32 years since the passing of Hon. Edward Moringe Sokoine, the former Prime Minister of the United Republic of Tanzania started today 10th April, 2017 at Solomon Mahlangu Campus.

The events started by planting trees at Mafiga area in Morogoro whereby the guest of Honor Prof. Faustin Kamuzora, the Permanent Secretary in the Office of the Vice President Union Affairs and Environment together with SUA Staff, Students and other stakeholders participated.

Principal of College of Agriculture,Prof.Susan Nchimbi - Msolla also participated in tree planting.

Among other activities the Sokoine Memorial Week will give a platform to Sokoine University of Agriculture and other agricultural stakeholders to showcase their project and research activities including technologies, ideas, discoveries and solutions that will improve agricultural, food and health sectors in Tanzania.

Wednesday 12 April, 2017 will be Sokoine Memorial day and will be marked with a special presentation by the Minister for Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries Dr. Charles Tizeba (MP) on behalf of his Excellency Dr. John Pombe Magufuli, The President of United Republic of Tanzania.

All events and activities will take place from 10th to 13th April, 2017 at Solomon Mahlangu Campus, Morogoro.

Sokoine University of Agriculture Units Website Ranking Results | September 2017

University wide  Website Committee (UWC) of Sokoine University of Agriculture (SUA) in its 13th meeting held on 06th September 2017 approved the results of the ranking of University website for the College/School/Faculty/Department/Institute/Directorate and Centres for the third quarter (June - September 2017).
